Dr. Joseph Jean

With 15+ years of experience and a doctorate in Geography from the University of Orléans, Dr. Jean Joseph has made significant contributions to conservation and environmental management to both Gabon as well as ACM. As Managing Director of the National Agency for National Parks (ANPN), he led the preservation efforts for Gabon's protected areas, overseeing large-scale projects funded by the EU, World Bank, and USFWS. Previously, he held key roles at IRET/CENAREST, advancing scientific research on biodiversity. His leadership in anti-poaching strategies, community rights advocacy, and environmental monitoring has strengthened conservation policies. A trained ULM pilot, he also conducted aerial surveillance to support ecosystem protection. His expertise continues to shape sustainable natural resource management in Central Africa.
