Alpha Centauri Mining SA (ACM) is proud of its deep commitment to the socio-economic development of Gabon. Since its inception, the company has played a key role in job creation, supporting the education and health sectors, as well as promoting agricultural and environmental initiatives in the localities where it operates. We firmly believe that economic growth must go hand in hand with a lasting positive impact on local communities.

Prioritizing and strengthening the capacities of local expertise
Since its inception, ACM has created nearly 1,581 jobs for Gabonese people. This commitment ensures professional stability and supports the sustainable development of local workers.
As part of our continuing education policy, we have initiated 200+ training courses since 2017. In 2025, we are planning new training courses, including programs to train local geologists, thus contributing to the growth of the Gabonese mining sector.
Supporting education and health for all
Alpha Centauri Mining stands out for its constant support of the education and health sectors. We have rehabilitated four schools in Ndjolé and distributed more than 45,000 notebooks and 3,500 school kits in various regions of Gabon, including Ndjolé, Oyem, Makokou, Mayibout, and Ntsenkele. These initiatives actively contribute to the development of quality education for children in local communities.
In the health sector, we have set up three dispensaries, rehabilitated and managed daily by ACM, which have provided nearly 15000+ free consultations, as well as medical treatments and medicines, thus improving access to health care for vulnerable populations.
Promoting food self-sufficiency at the local level
Agriculture, another key area of our commitment, is expanding within ACM. We have grown 75 tons of agricultural products that we have distributed at reduced prices on the Ndjolé market, thus supporting local agriculture and feeding the population. In addition, more than 100 hectares have been reforested to contribute to the preservation of the environment and carbon sequestration.
Promoting solidarity actions in favor of communities
We have always been there to support communities, especially in times of crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided 15 tons of food and medicines to support vulnerable populations.
Every year, thousands of gifts are given to children during the Christmas festivities, strengthening solidarity and social ties within local communities. Since 2019, more than 15,000 children have Christmas received gifts, symbolizing the company’s way to bring a smile to the children of the community.
Strengthening Local Expertise and Infrastructure
In 2025, ACM will place particular emphasis on strengthening local expertise with a program dedicated to training Gabonese geologists. This project aims to align local skills with international standards in the mining sector. We will also support education and health by investing in the construction of new schools and health infrastructure to improve the living conditions of communities.
Promoting innovative approaches to sustainable development
ACM has launched an agricultural training center in Oyem in 2025, aimed at promoting modern agricultural techniques and strengthening food security in the region. This project will also help support the local economy by generating sustainable opportunities for rural populations.
