RAFFINERIES GABONAISE DE L’OR
- Confirming to the vision and the focus of the country to value-add to the primary production in Gabon, ACM in 2022 unveiled the first gold refinery in Gabon (also a first for Central Africa)
- The refinery has an annual capacity of 7 to 10 Mt of gold processing.
- Setup in the Special Economic Zone at Nkok in Libreville, the state-of-the-art refinery based on Italian technology has zero emissions and 100% Acid Recovery.
- In May 2023, given the strategic importance of the sector to the country, the state acquired 51% of this refinery.
- The refinery is now renamed to “RAFFINERIES GABONAISE DE L’OR” and has the primary objectives of:
- Refine 100% of the gold produced in Gabon and our neighboring countries.
- Strive for excellence in service to our customers and make Gabon a hub for gold refining in Central Africa.
- Bring traceability to this growing sector and thereby bring sustainability to the industry.
- With quality certificates, bring greater transparency to customers of gold in Gabon.
- Soon we aspire to cater to the consumer and institutional market with jewelry and gold coins.
