Committed to its policy of social responsibility, the mining company Alpha Centauri Mining (ACM) has launched a major operation to support the Gabonese education sector. A total of 50,000 notebooks were distributed across the country, targeting not only national institutions but especially students in rural and remote areas of “deep Gabon,” thus reaffirming the company’s commitment to being an active partner in local development and equal opportunity.
In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy and determined to support the Gabonese education sector, the mining company Alpha Centauri Mining (ACM) has distributed 50,000 school notebooks across Gabon, thus demonstrating its strong commitment to equal opportunities. This national initiative is in line with the vision of the Head of State and supports the government’s efforts to improve access to education for all, particularly in the most remote areas of the country.
Indeed, the day after an official handover of 20,000 notebooks to the Ministry of National Education and 10,000 notebooks to the Ma Bannière Foundation, ACM continued its action by distributing 20,000 other notebooks in deep Gabon, notably in the schools of the Commune of Ndjolé (Moyen-Ogooué), the commune of Minvoul in Woleu Ntem as well as in the villages of Ogooué-Ivindo (Mayibouth and Mvadi), areas directly impacted by the company’s operating activities.
Through this action, Alpha Centauri Mining reaffirms its desire to be a responsible player, close to communities and resolutely committed to the sustainable development of Gabon.
