As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, the mining company Alpha Centauri Mining (ACM) has made a significant donation of 10,000 school supply kits to the Ma Bannière Foundation, chaired by the First Lady of Gabon, Zita Oligui Nguema. This initiative aims to enable the foundation, which works in the social sector, to redistribute these gifts to people in need, particularly students from poor families, at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
The award ceremony, held in the absence of the First Lady but in the presence of representatives of the Foundation, educational authorities, and ACM teams, symbolized the company’s ongoing commitment to social development. Moreover, company officials emphasized that this donation aims to ease the financial burden on many Gabonese families as the new school year approaches. It also aims to strengthen national efforts to promote education and reduce social inequalities.
During her speech, Carele Nelchy Pandia emphasized that ” investing in education is investing in the future of Gabon. Our company intends to fully play its role as a development partner .” These words were powerfully meaningful for the executive assistant to the CEO of Alpha Centauri Mining. It goes without saying that this social and solidarity action demonstrates ACM’s desire to establish a lasting presence in Gabon’s social fabric by providing concrete solutions to educational challenges.
This action is also aligned with the vision of the President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, who places education at the heart of national priorities. By collaborating with the Ma Bannière Foundation, ACM demonstrates its commitment to supporting civil society initiatives and actively contributing to the well-being of local communities. The 10,000 school kits, including essential supplies, will allow many students across the country to start the school year in better conditions. This gesture by ACM underlines its role as a key partner in sustainable development in Gabon.
